Information on reduced medical care costs is available at the Benefits Office which is located at 415 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA 02125. For further information call 617-287-8000 extension 8205. The benefits office manager is Lidia Algarin-Comas and staff include Eduarda Alves and Magda Cancel. Staff also speak English, Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole and Haitian Creole. Please contact any benefits staffperson if you have questions or concerns. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The UCHC Benefits office is able to assist all uninsured individuals who wish to receive medical services through a variety of programs. Medical assistance programs include the Upham's Corner Health Center Sliding Fee Scale. Other programs are offered through the Benefits office with the assistance of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts such as MassHealth (Medicaid), Children's Medical Security Plan, Healthy Start, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Uncompensated Care Pool (free/partial care), CareNet,
CenterCare, and Prescription Assistance Program.
